VIBRATIONS
Red Bull is starting another round in its x13 series of provocative
shorts! This round's theme is VIBRATIONS.
Make a film that's narrative, documentary, non-linear, experimental,
or any combination of the above. Use any visual style - animated,
grainy film, crisp video, drawn, photographed,
painted-onto-the-celluloid - we don't care! Just make sure it's a
roller-coaster ride of a movie.
Three important things - when you submit your film to us, it must be
1 to 2 and a half minutes long, in 16:9 aspect ratio (wide
screen) and in High Definition Video. This is because your film may
be played on Red Bull TV or distributed in other ways.
18 cutting-edge clips will be chosen for the first cut. Those 18
filmmakers will receive $1000 each. The final films will be narrowed
to 13, and will receive another $2000.
Submissions are due by August 17.

RULES AND GUIDELINES
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
We strongly recommend you upload to this competition your high
definition video. If you do not upload in HDV, you will be required
to mail a DVD of your film in HDV to Filmaka before the submission
deadline. All submissions for Red Bull's x13 must be in High
Definition Video. We recommend compressing your film into a Quicktime
file with the H264 codec to achieve a relatively small file with a
high resolution.
If your film is selected as a winner, you will be required to deliver
a hard-copy of your master file. HD Productions need to be delivered
on the source material that they have actually been shot on (target
format is HDCAM but please do not transcode to HDCAM if the production
has been recorded on another format like DVCPro HD). Please always
shoot in 16:9.
Winning filmmakers will be asked to deliver their masters with 4 to 8
separate audio tracks. Please keep separate your voice, music, and
sound effects tracks. For more details on audio delivery and to see
our Terms and Conditions for this competition, see our SUBMISSION
REQUIREMENTS PAGE.
