Biography

JONATHON E. STEWART sold his first multi-award winning digital feature, GUY IN ROW FIVE—which he produced and directed—in 2007. In 2008, with writing partner Eyal Podell, he wrote and optioned the screenplay USONIA to The 7th Floor in NYC, which heads into production this year. Stewart is also the principal of digital content production company, Atticus Entertainment, Inc, and has written and produced over 400 short-form, original videos for the New York Times online company About.com, Verizon, Walmart, Quaker Oats, the Discovery Channel and others. Atticus Entertainment also produces award-winning and cutting-edge branded content entertainment, and provides full creative advertising and marketing services for large and small business clients. Stewart also is a collaborator with Bay Area Pictures and is a co-creator of the serial drama THE CASTAWAYS. Awards include Best Director at the San Francisco 48-Hour Film Festival, Viewers’ Voice at Cinequest, Best of the Fest at the SoCal Independent Film Festival and an honorable mention in the Slamdance Screenplay Competition. Stewart has produced and directed several music videos including Helmet’s “Gone,” which aired on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball and was a MySpace.com Exclusive. He has also clocked time at HBO Films, The Walt Disney Company and served as Director of Development for boutique production company, Grover in CA (CAVEDWELLER, DESERT SAINTS). Stewart is a graduate of Dartmouth College, is a member of the WGA and SAG, and maintains offices in Los Angeles and New York City.
