Inspiration: Stranded, alone, and blinded by gas after a failed assault, a young private attempts to surrender and to avoid the same fate as his comrades. Before he get's the chance an unknown friendly soldier spots him and tries to lead him out of hell and away from the battlefield. Unfortunately, "Only the dead have seen the end of war."
